SQUIRREL SURVIVOR

Pretty soon our way of life is going to change on this planet. Too many
people, too little air, too many vehicles and WAY too little sustainable
environment.
Sustainable environment = food. Enough said.
So how will we deal when the lights go off, the gas station stays empty
and the warm, egocentric TV culture finally coughs it's last exhaust fume?
You liked sports? The sport of human survival will keep us all busy for
a millenia or two.
I watch squirrels. They seem to have it down. Find a patch with some
trees, defend it from marauding neighbors, scamper up those trees for
protection ... and look for food all day every day.
Humans, well, we can't climb, can't handle the cold ... can't hibernate.
I think the population is so large now due to what biologists call
opportunistic child bearing. People as a rule may be cunning, but our
margin for survival is dang slim since we've taken to living indoors and
only viewing survival on a once a week basis for some actors that will eat
worms for a big paycheck.
